Held on Talon Premises Until Released

When a vehicle Talon tows is not going straight to a shop, a dealership or your driveway — after an accident scene or a recovery, or when the owner cannot be reached — it is held in Talon's auto storage yard, with any personal property inside it, until the legal owner or a legal representative signs for its release.

  • Vehicles from accident scenes, breakdowns and recoveries across Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee, DeSoto, Hardee, Glades counties
  • Released only to the legal owner or a legal representative, or to a party the owner names in writing
  • Personal property in the vehicle is released with it
  • Towing and storage charges accrue while the vehicle is held and are acknowledged in writing at release

What do I need to bring to pick up my vehicle?

Proof of ownership — the vehicle title or current registration — and your driver’s license or another government-issued photo ID. You sign Talon’s Release Form at the terminal; it covers entry to the storage yard, the acknowledgment of towing and storage charges, and the release of the vehicle and any personal property in it. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM; call ahead so the vehicle is ready for release.

Can someone else pick up my vehicle for me?

Yes. The registered owner completes Talon’s Hold Harmless form naming the company, representative or individual authorized to take possession of the vehicle and its contents. The form is signed before a notary, and documentation proving ownership must be attached or forwarded to Talon Towing.
